Equipped with an RS-232C terminal. Data can be printed out in real time if the optional printer (Cat. No. 7630-60) is connected.

Equipped with a contact output that can be connected to an external alarm device such as a buzzer and revolving light. Upper and lower alarm values can be set separately.

Description

■ Cat. No. 7630-00 includes a test result certificate issued by us, while the Cat. No. 7630-10 includes a certificate by Japan Meteorological Business Support Center, an official authority under the JMA (Japan Meteorological Agency), in addition.

We offer recalibration at our factory. Ask us for detail.

■ The SK-500B is an indoor desktop digital barometer.

Install the unit horizontally avoiding the following instances:

- in flammable, corrosive, or explosive gases

- in a place exposed to direct sunlight, exhaust air of an air conditioner, rain, splashing water, or electrical noise

- in a vibrating place

- near a thermal appliance

- beyond the operation ambient (−10 to 50°C, less than 85%rh without condensing)

■ Note

Atmospheric pressure differs according to the height. For accurate measurement, carefully align the reference level on the unit with the height of the object. The reference level is in the center of the pressure port on the rear side shown below.

■ Application software

By using the exclusive software able to be downloaded from our website, measured data can be displayed on PC in real time.

■ What is air pressure?

Air pressure is defined as weight of the air on the unit horizontal surface, and hectopascal (hPa) is used as its unit. The average weight of the air is approx. 1 kg per 1 cm² on the sea level and is equivalent to approx. 1013 hPa.

As altitude rises, the air decreases and so does its weight, resulting in a fall of pressure. Thus, in order to compare the readings measured at different heights, it is necessary to convert them to those of the same sea level. The converted air pressure is called sea level pressure.
